Photo camera wooden knob – made the news

A friend borrows a friend’s SLR and somehow loses the control knob. He then delays the return a couple days, finally giving it back with a new, beautifully etched wooden control knob. That is a good friend.

The other day, a photo that I made and published on my flickr profile got picked by gizmodo.com and, consequently, got a lot of attention. It’s a photo of a wooden control knob from my old Fujifilm S5600 FinePix digital photo camera.

I’m really happy with the way the new knob looks and feels.

To all the gizmodo readers I want to say that my friend is a good friend and I appreciate the time end effort he put into this little wooden knob.

Photo-walk with Ramona

A few days ago I went out for a photo-walk here in Bucharest with a girl that I know from flickr. She is a great photographer and she is very smart (at least that’s my first impression 😆 )
We had a lot of fun and we made lots of pictures. Below I posted a slideshow with her making different face expressions.

Just got back from Bucharest… Still have to accommodate with the life in the “Big City” because in a few months I will move there…
But I had some fun and I made some pictures 😀
Here is the last one… I shoot it last night in Herastrau Park

360° image viewer

Tonight I did a test trying to shoot some photos for a 360 image viewer.
It’s working fine as you can see below. But I feel I still have to do some experiments with the code to make something better. And maybe shoot some better images 😆
