Since Flash is not used anymore for web apps, I thought I should remake the old Photobooth in HTML5. This web app captures pictures from the webcam or phone camera and saves them to a server (php or asp). It uses HTML5 and JavaScript to do so and it has a Flash fallback for older browsers (like Internet Explorer) that’s don’t support the HTML5 video object.
It all started more as an experiment a few years ago. I made the first Christmas countdown app and uploaded it to my website. The app was also added to the Google Chrome webstore. In December 2014, I noticed a lot of traffic on that app, it got popular! That’s when I decided to start working more on the app and also make mobile versions of that app so people can have it on their mobile devices.
The version of the web app available in the past few years was developed using Adobe Flash. Since Flash is almost dead, I decided this year to make a better, more beautiful HTML5 version that will work on all modern browsers, including mobile browsers. That’s exactly what I did in the last few weeks.
Now, the new Christmas Countdown app is available and ready to be used. The app includes a list of Christmas radio stations with beautiful Christmas carols that you can listen to all day long.
I will keep improving the app with things that might make it better. If you have any suggestions, please add them in the comments section below. Thank you and enjoy the app!
In the past few weeks I’ve been working on a fun and simple game with the objective to build a Skyscraper Building as high as you can. You have to place each block on top of the previous one and try to position it perfectly with the one before. The part that remains outside will break and the block will get smaller and smaller each time it’s not positioned perfectly.
The game is now available on iOS, Android and also online as a Flash game.
Me and Victor (the artist) have been working on a beautiful Christmas game for toddles. It’s named Christmas Puzzle, it is a free game and very easy to play. Please check it out! If you like it, share it with your friends and family, especially with those who have young kids.
Yet another game for kids. It’s a simple card memory game. For this game the programming was my duty and the drawing art was made by Victor (a friend of mine). Right now it’s available for Android and it is also available on the web. Please check it out and let me know if you like it.
